Upcurve
Terms of Service
Last updated: 9 September 2026
Upcurve is a habit-progression app for iPhone. These terms describe what you can expect from it and what we expect from you. They are written in plain language on purpose — if something here is unclear, email us and we will explain it.
Agreeing to these terms
By downloading or using Upcurve, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app. If you are under 13, Upcurve is not for you.
What Upcurve does
Upcurve records the habits you choose to track and shows your progress as a consistency percentage and a stepped goal line, rather than a streak that resets. It can optionally read step, water, and workout data from Apple Health, and write water intake back.
The free version includes four habits, thirty days of charts, and the home screen widget. Upcurve Pro unlocks unlimited habits, longer chart ranges, year cards, workout insight, and the interactive widget.
Buying Upcurve Pro
Upcurve Pro comes in three forms: a monthly subscription, a yearly subscription, or a lifetime unlock that is a single purchase and never expires. All three are sold and processed by Apple through the App Store — we never see or handle your payment details. Prices are shown in the app in your local currency before you confirm.
Subscriptions renew automatically. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation, and the subscription renews at the same price for the same period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Your Apple Account is charged for renewal within 24 hours of the end of the period. You can manage or cancel a subscription at any time in Settings → your name → Subscriptions on your device; cancelling stops future renewals and you keep Pro until the paid period runs out. The lifetime unlock does not renew and cannot lapse.
If you bought Upcurve Pro as a one-time purchase before 2026, that purchase is the lifetime unlock. It stays valid, it is not affected by any later price change, and you never need to subscribe.
Purchases are tied to your Apple Account and can be restored on your devices from Settings → Restore Purchases. Refunds are handled by Apple, not by us. If you want a refund, request it through reportaproblem.apple.com. We cannot issue refunds ourselves, but tell us what went wrong and we will try to fix it.
Your licence
You get a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Upcurve on devices you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Terms of Service. You may not resell, redistribute, rent out, or reverse-engineer the app, except where the law expressly allows it.
Upcurve is not medical or fitness advice
This matters, so it is stated plainly: Upcurve is a tracking tool, not a health professional. It records what you log and draws charts from it. It does not diagnose, treat, prevent, or give advice about any medical condition, and it is not a substitute for guidance from a qualified doctor, therapist, or trainer.
Any activity you choose to track — training, fasting, cold exposure, or anything else — you undertake at your own risk. Talk to a qualified professional before starting something new, and stop if something feels wrong. Do not rely on Upcurve for decisions about your health.
Your data and your backups
Everything you log stays on your device. We run no servers that receive it and we cannot see it — the details are in our Privacy Policy.
The other side of that is your responsibility: because we hold no copy, we cannot recover your history if you delete the app or lose your device. Export your data from Settings → Export whenever it matters to you.
Acceptable use
Use Upcurve lawfully and for its intended purpose. Do not attempt to disrupt the app, circumvent purchase verification, or use it in a way that harms others.
Changes to the app
Upcurve is actively developed. Features may be added, changed, or removed, and updates to iOS or Apple Health may affect how parts of the app behave. We aim to keep everything working and to fix problems promptly, but we cannot promise the app will always be available or free of faults.
No warranty
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Upcurve is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for any particular purpose.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim relating to Upcurve is limited to the amount you paid for the app. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for lost data.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited — including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. If you are a consumer, you keep all statutory rights that apply to you under the law of your country of residence.
Apple
Apple is not a party to these terms and is not responsible for Upcurve or its content. Apple has no obligation to provide support or maintenance for the app. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
Changes to these terms
If these terms change, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new "last updated" date. Because Upcurve does not collect your contact details, we cannot email you about changes — this page is the single source of truth. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands, without regard to conflict of law rules. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the EU, you also keep the protections of the mandatory consumer law of your country of residence.
